This merger is about strength, growth, and opportunity—so wherever life takes you, your credit union will be right there with you. 

What is The Merger Timeline?

The merger is expected to be legally finalized on February 26th, 2026

Will We Still Be Member Owned?

Yes. After the merger, we will remain a member-owned Federal Credit Union. That means youour members, not outside shareholderscontinue to guide our mission and benefit from our success. 

Will There Be Staff Changes?

No. Youll continue to be served by the same dedicated CCU team you know and trust. There are no immediate changes to our leadership or staff. 

All CCU employees have been offered positions to ensure a smooth transition and the same consistent service you rely on.

 

Will There Be Branch Location Changes?

Yes! As part of the merger, CCU and RFCU branches will now work together to serve you.


You’ll gain access to RFCU’s nine branch locations across the South Shore, as well as three CCU branches in Lynn, Peabody, and Somerville. This expanded network gives you more convenient options for in-person banking—while still allowing you to visit the branches you know and love.

We will update members when expanded branch access becomes available. 

Will There Be a New Name?

Yes — together, we are building one stronger credit union.


As CCU and RFCU unite, we’re forming a single organization designed to serve all of us—bringing our members, our teams, and our communities together under one shared mission. This isn’t just a new name; it’s a new opportunity to rise together, expand what’s possible, and continue delivering the personal, community-focused service you value.

What Does This Mean For My Accounts?

For now, nothing changes in your day-to-day banking experience. You can continue to bank with confidence, knowing that: 

  • Your account and routing numbers will remain the same. 
  • Your online and mobile banking access will not change, and your existing rates will stay the same. 
  • Youll continue to be served by the same friendly CCU team at your local branches. 
  • Our branch hours and customer support services remain unchanged. 

In the future, there will be updates as we align systems and services — but well keep you informed well in advance. For now, its business as usual.
