What is the MoveUp Home Loan Program?

The MoveUp Home Loans Program is a specialized mortgage solution designed for low or moderate income (LMI) families, individuals, and properties located in LMI or Majority Minority Census Tracts  in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. It offers a $2,500 closing cost credit, no mortgage insurance, and flexible options for primary residences and investment properties.

How do I know if I am eligible for the MoveUp program?

You may qualify if: (1) your property is in a Low or Moderate Income Census Tract in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire, (2) your property is in a Majority Minority Census Tract in these counties, OR (3) your qualifying income is 80% or less of the Average Median Family Income for your property location per the FFIEC.gov. A minimum FICO score of 660 is required.

What documents do I need to apply?

You'll need a completed mortgage applications, proof of income, and proof of assets. 

What makes the MoveUp program different from other mortgages?

Property must be located in a qualifying Low-to-Moderate Income Census Tract or Majority Minority Census Tract in Barnstable, Bristol, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, or Worcester counties, as determined by the most recent U.S. Census Data (ffiec.gov), or the member’s qualifying income must be less than or equal to 80% of the Area Median Family Income for the property location.

Example payment information is based on a loan amount of $820,000, 80% loan-to-value, 1-unit primary residence, purchase transaction with a 60-day rate lock.
